Ryder is estranged from his sister, Ciarla. Ryder has two baby nieces that he's taken into his court since Ciarly has no interest in them. They're being raised by his cousin and the Southern Rise's head of security: Alexa FRIENDS. Ryder has a few friends, and he's fairly close with Alexa. He's also interested in Kai, in knowing more about him and in protecting him. DATING HISTORY. Not currently dating, there have been prior lovers. PERSONALITY

Ryder is a sidhe lord, who was raised privileged and cherished by his family. He's used to having things turn out the way he wants, and he's used to being able to exercise diplomatic pressure to solve his problems. He left his high-grandmother's court to start his own Court, partly to help with replacing the elfin Courts lost in the Merge and partly because he's an idealist who things the elfin and the humans should learn to coexist more peacefully.However, he's not blindly or naively idealistic. When the elfin and human warred, the elfin won because they had magic and better strategies. Ryder is used to making the long term decisions, and he tends to approach situations by making a series of subtle changes, rather than anything large and dramatic. Since meeting Kai, he's learned a little more thoroughly that the world isn't always what he wants of it. That hasn't changed what Ryder wants to do, and he's come to trust Kai, even as he wants to be there for Kai, to solve Kai's problems for him. He also wants a romantic and sexual relationship with Kai, and is learning that being pushy isn't helping him there. ABILITIES & SKILLS
